There is no limit to the number of times you can earn 50,000 points with this promotion, and bonus points will be awarded between three and six weeks after completing a qualifying stay.

This latest promotion is worth considering if you are planning a group trip between now and the end of the year and are considering booking a house rather than a hotel.

It's worth noting that this is the biggest bonus ever offered through Homes & Villas, but it's also worth mentioning that the minimum spend requirement is higher than usual.

How to Maximize the Marriott Homes & Villas Promotion

With a fixed amount of 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points awarded for qualifying stays, you'll get the best return by booking stays as close to $2,500 (USD) as possible.

We enhance Marriott Bonvoy points at 0.8 cents per point (CAD) or 0.6 cents per point (USD); therefore, we would value 50,000 points at $400 (CAD) or $300 (USD).

Using this valuation, if you were to spend exactly $2,500 (USD), you would get about a 12% return in points with promotion alone.

For stays booked in currencies other than US dollars, you may want to err on the side of caution and book a stay slightly above the threshold, to account for currency conversion fluctuations that could bring your stay under $2,500 ( USD).

As usual, you'll still earn base points on your stay, as well as elite qualifying nights and bonus points as rewards. Marriott Bonvoy Elite Member.

If you pay for the transaction with a Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit card, you'll also earn points toward your Homes & Villas reservation.

In combination with the points earned through the current promotion, you will get a total of up to 86,875 points on a stay of exactly $2,500 (USD), which equates to an effective return of approximately 21% in points. Of course, this figure will vary if the total cost of your stay is more than $2,500 (USD).

Again, while it's not worth pursuing this promotion just for the bonus points, if you were to otherwise make a reservation for a home rental, you'd at least end up with a tidy sum of points for your efforts.
