WhatsApp introduces seamless event organization feature

WhatsApp on Wednesday announced a new way for individuals to organize events within communities using WhatsApp, making it simpler than ever to plan get-togethers and events — from PTA meetings and birthday dinners directly to WhatsApp. From simple get-togethers inside!
Anyone can create an event for others to RSVP to, letting all group members know who plans to attend and when the date is getting closer. The event list will appear on their group's information page and attendees will receive notifications as the event date approaches.
This new feature will initially be available to community-related groups and will be gradually expanded over the coming months.
WhatsApp The ability for users to directly reply to announcement group messages sent by administrators of communities, called Announcement Groups, is also introduced, which allows administrators of such communities to send updates directly. Replies will be aggregated so you can easily see who responded without having to receive notifications about each post individually – this new feature allows admins to hear who responded to their posts while keeping announcement groups organized and free of clutter. WhatsApp Communities was released in November to allow neighborhoods, school associations, hobbyists and others to stay connected by allowing up to 50 groups to join a community at one time. New features will be made available within communities and groups over time – an idea shared by WhatsApp Inc.
